Today is the birthday of Maria Montessori(August 31, 1870 – May 6, 1952), an Italian physician and educator, whose educational method is still in use today in public and private schools throughout the world.
This name meant nothing to me two years ago, but a lot now. I may not adopt all her method, I may not send 賴肥 to a Montessori kindergarten, but I can not deny that I am so deeply inspired by her educational philosophy. Thank you & happy birthday!
